Helping young people find support, safe spaces and opportunities across Tendring
UTurn is proud to deliver the Essex VVU Youth Resource Network for Tendring.
Funded by Essex Violence and Vulnerability Unit, the Youth Resource Network helps young people, families, schools, youth groups and professionals find out what support, safe spaces, youth activities and positive opportunities are available locally.
We know that young people do not always know where to go for help, or who they can speak to. Through this work, UTurn4Support helps connect young people with trusted adults, local youth provision and community support when they need it.
What We Do
Through the Youth Resource Network, UTurn works across Tendring to:
- Share information about local youth groups, activities and support.
- Help young people, parents and carers find trusted local support.
- Work with schools, youth groups, community organisations and professionals.
- Promote safe spaces and positive activities for young people.
- Support young people to access help when they need it.
- Listen to local needs and highlight gaps in youth provision.
- Share Essex VVU campaigns and resources that help keep young people and communities safe.

The Youth Resource Network is for young people, families and professionals across Tendring.

- A young person looking for support, activities or someone to talk to.
- A parent or carer worried about a young person.
- A school looking for youth support or signposting information.

Knife crime awareness and prevention
As part of the Youth Resource Network, UTurn4Support also supports Essex VVU campaigns, including knife crime awareness and prevention.
