The UTurn Hub
The UTurn Hub is our safe, welcoming space in Clacton-on-Sea where young people can take part in structured activities, workshops, mentoring and early-help support.
It provides consistency, routine and positive engagement for young people who may benefit from additional support, social connection and trusted adults around them.
What is the UTurn Hub?
The UTurn Hub is where much of our activity takes place.
It provides:
- A safe, supervised and welcoming environment
- Structured activities, clubs and workshops
- Positive routines and clear expectations
- Opportunities to build confidence, friendships and social skills
- Support from trusted members of the UTurn team
The hub helps young people feel comfortable, included and supported while taking part in meaningful activities.

The UTurn Hub may be suitable for young people who:
- Benefit from structure, routine and encouragement
- Need early-help or preventative support
- May have low-level SEND needs
- Enjoy small group activities and positive social time
- Would benefit from a safe space outside of school or home
Please note: The hub is not a specialist crisis service or high-level SEND provision.
