UTURN

Youth Ambassadors

The UTurn Youth Ambassador Programme is a volunteer initiative that strengthens the partnership between UTurn staff and the young people who use our services. It gives young people meaningful opportunities to shape the charity’s direction, influence programmes and spending priorities, and represent their communities. Ambassadors receive training, gain practical skills, and take on responsibility while helping design and deliver mentoring and outreach activities.

What our Ambassadors do

– Co‑design and co‑deliver mentoring programmes and hub activities
– Lead community projects (litter picks, outreach, wellbeing events)
– Welcome and mentor new young people at the hub
– Fundraise and help set spending priorities to meet local needs
– Act as the voice of young people in organisational planning

Meet our Ambassadors

Our passionate team of Youth Ambassadors, supported by youth leaders, bring ideas to life: organising community clean‑ups, welcoming newcomers, running fundraisers and shaping the services that matter most to young people. Creative, committed and full of heart, they turn small actions into big change.
