Operation Flourish

Operation Flourish works with young people identified by UTurn and schools as being at risk of exclusion, serious violence or county lines. The programme helps them build safer choices and positive relationships with supportive adults, including partners in policing and education.

Who it’s for

Operation Flourish is aimed at young people who:

Referrals usually come from schools, police, early help, social care and UTurn staff.

What we offer

  • Intensive 1:1 mentoring
    Regular sessions focusing on behaviour, choices, consequences and future goals, delivered in school, at the Hub or in the community.

  • School-based support
    Close partnership working with schools to support attendance, engagement and behaviour, including joint planning meetings.

  • Family and carer support
    Contact with parents/carers to share insights, offer support and work together to keep the young person safe.

  • Positive activities & structure
    Access to UTurn projects, sports and group work that provide routine, boundaries and positive peers.

  • Multi-agency planning
    Joint work with agencies such as Essex Police, schools and early help services to create a coordinated support plan.
