JULES’ STORY
From Family Connection to Youth Leader
Jules has a very special connection to UTurn and to the story behind why belonging, relationships and positive opportunities matter so much to us.
Jules became part of Shani’s family through fostering. What began through fostering grew into a lasting family relationship, with Jules becoming the sister Shani had always wanted.
Coming Full Circle
Years later, Jules is now part of the UTurn team as a Youth Leader, helping create positive relationships, encouragement and a sense of belonging for the young people who come through our doors.
A Special Moment With Joe Swash
Jules’ connection to fostering has also brought some very special experiences, including meeting Joe Swash, who has publicly supported fostering and helped raise awareness of foster families.
Jules’ journey is a special part of UTurn’s story — showing how belonging, support and positive relationships can continue making a difference many years later. 🧡

UGO is UTurn’s elephant mascot and has become a familiar and much-loved part of our charity.
UGO was brought into UTurn as a fun and friendly way to represent three important values at the heart of what we do.
