UTURN

About Us

UTurn is a King’s Award-winning youth charity supporting young people aged 9–18, and up to 25 with additional needs, across Tendring and Essex.

We work alongside young people, families, schools and professionals to provide early help, mentoring, safe spaces and positive opportunities that help young people feel supported, valued and more able to move forward positively.

Who We Are

UTurn was created to provide positive, preventative support for young people who may be facing emotional, behavioural or social challenges.

Our focus is on early intervention, building confidence, creating safe spaces and making sure young people have access to trusted support before problems grow bigger.

We believe every young person deserves to feel heard, supported and hopeful about their future.

Who We Support

We support young people aged 9–18, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, who may be experiencing challenges at home, at school or in the community.

We also work alongside families, carers, schools and professionals to help young people feel safer, more connected and better supported.

How We Help

Our support includes early help, mentoring, safe spaces, structured activities and targeted projects that respond to the real issues young people are facing.

We aim to provide trusted relationships, practical support and positive opportunities that help young people build confidence, resilience and hope for the future.
