Who We Are
UTurn provides early help, guidance and positive opportunities for young people and their families in Tendring and across Essex.
Our team walks alongside young people as they navigate school, home and community life – helping them feel heard, valued and supported to make positive choices.
How UTurn Supports Young People
Youth Drop-in Hub
A welcoming space to meet friends, chat to trusted adults, grab a drink and get support with whatever’s going on.
Mentoring & Personalised Support
1:1 sessions tailored to each young person – from emotional wellbeing and friendships to school, safety and future plans.
Activities & Clubs
Regular creative, social and wellbeing sessions for ages 9–18 (and up to 25 with additional needs), helping young people build confidence, friendships and new skills.
Workshops & Life-skills
Practical workshops on topics like staying safe, managing emotions, relationships, money and preparing for the future.
Individual Support
Personalised help with emotional wellbeing, school or home challenges.
Community Engagement
Projects and events that give young people a voice, build positive relationships and help improve the local community.

Through our work we help young people to:

- Learn about risks such as gangs, grooming, county lines and knife crime.
- Build resilience, confidence and positive relationships.
